Pod Technologies - Portable Emissions Analyzers
Overview
Procedures for measuring nitrogen oxides (NOx), carbon monoxide (CO), and oxygen (O2) concentrations from combustion sources with portable emissions analyzers are defined by US EPA, New Mexico Environment Department Air Quality Bureau (AQB), Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality, South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD), ASTM, and many other regulatory bodies. Links to information and resources on regulations, test methods, evaluations, and analyzers are listed below.
Regulations & Test Methods
- ASTM International
- US EPA Conditional Test Methods (CTM)
CTM-022 Nitric Oxide, Nitrogen Dioxide, & NOx emissions by Electrochemical Analyzer. (pdf, 16pp., 37KB)
CTM-030 Determination of Nitrogen Oxides, Carbon Monoxide, and Oxygen Emissions from Natural Gas-Fired Engines, Boilers and Process Heaters Using Portable Analyzers. (pdf, 19pp., 74KB)
Note: US EPA strongly encourages the use of ASTM D6522-00(2005) instead of CTM-030.
CTM-034 Test Method - Determination of Oxygen, Carbon Monoxide, and Oxides of Nitrogen from Stationary Sources for Periodic Monitoring. Institute of Clean Air Companies (ICAC) Test Method For Periodic Monitoring. (pdf, 23pp., 100KB)
