Pod Technologies - EDR Trend
Overview
EDR Trend is a Microsoft Excel-based application that summarizes and graphs air pollution emissions and unit operational information from US Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA) Clean Air Markets (CAM) Electronic Data Reporting (EDR) files.
Operators of units in CAM are required to monitor their air pollution emissions with Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) and submit quarterly EDR files to the US EPA. EDR files are publicly available from the CAM website, the US EPA FTP site, and the National Technical Information Service (NTIS).
Uses for EDR Trend include:
- Characterizing air pollution emissions
- Reviewing operational trends
- Evaluating air pollution control device performance
Features
- Reads EDR files available from the US EPA CAM or FTP websites, NTIS CD-ROMs, or a 40 CFR 75 CEMS Data Acquisition and Handling System (DAHS).
- Creates data summaries and graphs of operating time, gross load, gross heat rate, SO2 emissions, and NOx emissions.
- Provides data review options for quarterly, multi-quarter, Ozone Season, or custom time intervals.
- Provides a starting point for further data analysis using Microsoft Excel calculation and graphing capabilities.
- Exports Comma Separated Variable (CSV) text files of hourly data for use by other software.
- Software and workbook template can be modified for added features.
