Pod Technologies: Update: 11/2006
Long-Term Field Evaluation of Mercury CEMS
A Long-Term Field Evaluation of Mercury (Hg) Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems (pdf, 142pp., 908kB) is available from US EPA. The report evaluates the ability of mercury continuous emissions monitoring systems (CEMS) to meet performance specifications recently promulgated in 40 CFR Part 75 and Performance Specification 12A (40 CFR Part 60). Included are summaries of certification test results from two relative accuracy test programs, as well as other information collected from November 2004 through September 2005.
Monitoring Data Checking Software Version 4.2.56
Monitoring Data Checking Software (MDC) v4.2.56 is available from US EPA. This version supersedes MDC v4.2.55, posted in June, 2006. The new version fixes the MDC Hourly functionality that evaluates the QA status of Appendix D Fuel Flowmeter Systems and Appendix E NOx emission rate systems. Starting with the 4th quarter of 2006, US EPA plans to use the MDC Hourly functionality in Version 4.2.56 to perform quarterly electronic audits of Appendix D and E units. Units using Appendix D and E monitoring methods should download and review the materials provided in the Electronic Audits of Appendix D and E Data section.
The new version of MDC also includes other minor fixes not related to Appendix D or E, as detailed in the Release Notes (pdf, 1pp., 11kB).
