Acid Rain Program 2004 Progress Report
The Acid Rain Program 2004 Progress Report marks the 10th year of the US EPA Acid Rain Program. Major developments over the decade include advances in emission controls, improvements in program management, and electronic delivery of services. The report updates data reported in previous years, including:
- Sulfur dioxide (SO2) emissions, allowance market information, and program compliance;
- Nitrogen oxides (NOx) emissions and program compliance;
- Status and trends in acid deposition, air quality, and ecological effects; and
- Benefits and costs of the Acid Rain Program.
Plain English Guide to Part 75 Rule
US EPA Clean Air Markets Division released the Plain English Guide to the Part 75 Rule (pdf, 137pp, 425626kb; revised 10/20/2005). In addition to presenting the basics of Part 75, the document includes a discussion of the monitoring requirements of the new Clean Air Interstate Rule (CAIR) and Clean Air Mercury Rule (CAMR), and provides a references section for further information about the regulations.
